After you submit an inquiry, I will set up a brief phone to offer an overview of the process and chat through any questions you may have. Once you select the package that best suits your celebration, I will send your contract along with an invoice for the 35% retainer to officially reserve your date. A few weeks before the wedding, we will schedule another call to review the final details and ensure everything feels effortless, organized, and fully tailored to your day!

On the wedding day, my husband and assistant and I arrive at least two hours before the ceremony to set up. Having the portrait station ready early gives guests something fun to enjoy as they arrive and mingle.

During cocktail hour and the reception, my husband helps guests sign up and takes reference photos, which he sends directly to my iPad while I paint on site. I can typically paint one person in about 6–8 minutes, which allows me to create a steady flow of portraits throughout the evening. Each portrait is painted fully by hand on 5×7” archival watercolor paper using ink and watercolor, with the guest’s name written on the back. Finished portraits are placed in protective sleeves so guests can take them home.

We stay for a minimum of four hours of painting time and usually finish when things begin to naturally wind down later in the evening. Since each portrait is painted by hand, not every piece is completed before the event ends.

Following the wedding, I complete the remaining portraits in my studio, which are mailed directly to you within four weeks — perfect to include in your Thank-You notes!
